SOUTHERN MEXICO FROM THE AIR
We have now travelled through Mexico for six months and the southern part of the country was particularly appealing to us. The state of Chiapas and the Yucatán peninsula are incredibly diverse with beautiful landscapes, impressive Mayan temples, lots of wildlife and beautiful white sandy beaches with palm trees as far as the eye can see.
Thus, in addition to many photos, hours of video raw material have come together. A special thrill was the drone flight around the big Mayan pyramid in Calakmul! Despite a missing prohibition board (!) the Mexican workers were visibly unhappy with our exploration flight over the area. So, we hurried to record some great sequences before we had to pack the drone away ? Also the strong coastal winds in some places demanded a lot from the aircraft and we were always glad when it was safe on the ground again.
